While studying she also worked at Equart Multimedia Company as graphic and multimedia designer first and as production director associate later on. Moved to Vancouver, she enrolled at VCC in the Pastry program where she met Colin; La Cucina del Diavolo was open in fall 2005. Soft Moon Studio was born in summer 2006. Lela got her artistic inclinations from her mother's genes and her entrepreneurial attitude from her father's. The restless mind is all hers.
Colin is lazy at times. He has the power of calmness and unexpected grasps on reality that he shares in brutal ways. He works better when he has five things to think about. Born in Vancouver he had been living here and there on this planet, surviving Norwegian winters, Greek summers and dozens of different schools. A tragic fate brought him to work at Starbucks for a few years. He left with a deep understanding of coffee making and the root of all evil. Since then, he despises false marketing and appreciates honest communication and public relations.
He makes the best scones ever.
We are a couple of curious, honest and creative humans.
We are Lela Selmo and Colin Macdonald, we live and work in symbiosis. We inspire one another and yell at each other. We work things through and move on.
Lela is a bit too impulsive at times. She is eclectic, stubborn and independent. She's been called muse many times and she's starting to think that it may be true. She lived in Milan (Italy) most of her life and studied art and communications at the university of Bologna and public relations at the University of Language and Communication IULM in Milan.
